Disaster Risk Management & Rural Development through CSR Projects

Natural Disasters are not under human being’s control and it impact local communities drastically. It’s high time for everyone including corporate companies to dedicate their attention towards projects for Disaster Risk Reduction. We all should focus towards CSR projects for Rural Development and Disaster Management.

SEED is India’s leading integrated CSR consulting, planning and implementing agency with an absolute authority in strategizing and implementing the Corporate Social Responsibility and Financial inclusion projects across India. We have collaborated with many top brands to implement CSR for rural development and disaster reduction. We keep organizing various camps in coastal areas to educate villagers about things to do in case of any natural calamity. We even organize mock drills for them. A big example of the same is our project for rural development in SUVA village of Gujarat.

SEED and TechnipFMC which is a global leader in subsea, onshore/ offshore and surface projects, have together taken an important initiative towards this serious issue, with aim to bring a big positive change towards Disaster Risk Reduction. We have recently initiated a CSR project in a small village of Gujrat. This village is located in the ‘Vagra’ Taluka of ‘Bharuch’ district in Gujarat. ‘SUVA’ is a Gram Panchayat with an area of 1238 hectares and a population of 1920 as per 2011 Census. Its post office name is ‘Dahej’ and nearest town ‘Bharuch’ is about 33 kms away. This is a coastal area and so prone to natural disaster.
